How to Remove Berry Stains
Step1:
Mix your dawn-water solution by placing one cup of warm water in a container or spray bottle.
Stir or gently shake to ensure the solution is thoroughly mixed.
Step 2:
Remove any pieces of berry before working with the stain. Use a spoon or dull knife to pull the
pieces out and way from the carpet.
Step 3:
If the berry stain has dried, add a small amount of tap water to the stain. Blot the stain with a
clean white cloth or paper towels. Continue until there is no longer a color change to the stain
from your blotting efforts.
Step 4:
Use the Dawn-Water solution you made in step one and applying it to a clean white cloth. Blot
the stain to get the detergent down to the stain. Continue blotting the stain until the berry stain
is gone.
NorCal Pro Tip: Blot the stain in one direction starting from the edge of the stain working your way to the center. This will prevent spreading the stain onto other carpet fibers.
Step 5:
Rinse away the detergent solution with plain cold water. Blot to dry the area and to remove
excess moisture.
Step 6:
Layer several paper towels onto the damp area and place a small heavy object on the towels.
This will draw out any remain moisture.
Step 7:
Once the area is dry, vacuum to restore the carpet’s resiliency.
