How to Remove Powder Foundation Stains
Step 1:
Make a detergent-water solution by pouring 1/8 teaspoon of laundry detergent and 1 cup of
cold water in a spray bottle or container. Stir or gently shake to ensure a thorough mixture.
Step 2:
Dampen a clean white cloth with the detergent solution and blot the stain to lift it from the
carpet.
NorCal Pro Tip: Blot the stain in one direction starting from the edge of the stain working your way to the center. This will prevent spreading the stain onto other carpet fibers.
Step 3:
To rinse the detergent from the carpet spray the area with water. Use plain white paper towels
and blot to remove the excess moisture from the carpet.
Step 4:
After all the excess moisture has been removed, layer several paper towels on the damp area
and place a small heavy object on the towels. Leave for 2-4 hours. This will draw out any
remaining moisture remaining in the carpet.
Step 5:
Once the carpet has fully dried, remove and vacuum to restore the carpet’s resiliency.
